| Hey eyes, and anyone else around here... I've been doing some reading lately, and am seeing people talkin about pcs'n to lrs units, and new lrs units being opened, while others are either casin the colors, or reorganizing. Ive been out of the loop now, for about a year, as I ets'd, and am pursuing a new career. I wanna know what units are closin, and what new units there are. I thought the army is trying to do away with lrs? Why would they open new lrs units then? Im also hearing that people can now pcs directly into them? Is this right? Im wanting some people that are still in the loop, to post what units theyre in, and if they know of any plans of them closing their doors, or reorganizing. Im hearing that some lrs units are getting 88 mikes in them?? Some are goin to leg status, and that some are being turned into cav? Please help with these rumors.

| Leave it to the Army to fuck up a good thing. Why would you case the colors on a perfectly good LRS unit and then try to start another one up from scratch? I have to say the being in a LRS unit was probably the best time I ever had in the Army.

Some LRS units are standing down, others are being stood up, it doesn't make much sense. Of course we are talking about the Army. I believe that all Corps LRS are to be attached to a BFSB (Battle Field Surveillance Brigade), I don't know about LRSD?

Can anyone confirm or deny that the 173rd LRSD (RI ARNG) is reflagging soon as an Airborne Infantry company? Lots of rumors, but that's all it is for me right now.
