"akmal" is middle eastern or more direct Egyptian, though it has been seen recently in India and Afghanistan as well. I doubt the name was real, but who knows what darkness lies in the heart of a spammer? Perhaps what the madhatter needs is legitimate tools that prevent or disable FNG level posters from having hypertext abilities until after the 10th post? Seems like an easy feature to code.
