Where did these discussion groups go? B2B seems to have fallen off the planet and here I am back in church for the last few months.

It got quiet when you asked for money.
I lack people-skills.

dannytechwannabe (7/27/2007) It got quiet when you asked for money.I dont think so, it was pretty quiet before that, but on that note, turned out that another person came forward and some opportunites to go with my son have turned up for next year. Im happy for it too, it was really short notice and the only reason I even made any attempt was because it looked like everyone decided that they only want to go help people if there isnt any heavy lifting involved. I think I'll post an update so people dont think its open ended.

| Oh, wait!!! Are you the guy with the truck? I thought I had a lot of friends one time until my truck broke down for a month waiting on parts. I couldn't borrow a vehicle, bum a ride, nada. I was on foot the whole time. Taxicabs, bus....sheesh...I rode the bus to get the parts for the truck and had to take a taxi home because of space. As soon as the truck was on the road everyone started calling again telling me how sorry they were they weren't able to help, blah blah. I learned long ago that friends are like that. So I'm a cynical bastage now and that friend has to make some commitments before I can even consider that person as a good friend.

Im personally broke and my PC motherboard just died, we're paycheck to paycheck and I am still working to creatively figure out how to work out the Association convention. I asked about donations for a trip to Haiti with the church to help the people there which would have cost me time off of work. If I wanted to ask for money for selfish reasons or personal gain I'd have a list of things so if someone feels I went out here with my hand out to personally get something out of you guys, sorry. That wasnt the case.

I'm still on the planet! I've stopped in on accasion to check for new threads, but spend most of my forum discussion/blogging time over at Christian Military Fellowship, (www.cmfhq.com). We've given it a new look and feel with the interactive forums and blogs and I'm the main forum moderator. I've also been involved a spart of a steering committee trying to 'upgrade' the contemporary service on Ft. Carson. I saw another thread I am going to check on in here next.

Good to see, you should park a topic in here to spark debate now and then even if you're not here all the time. I think we have a lot people willing to talk these topics through but might not visit a site so targetted as the one you mentioned.
