| As I finally figured out how to add images, I thought that I would display my little piece og history. Displayed at the 82nd Airborne Museum is tha M102 105MM howitzer. The first shot fired from the M102's by the 82nd (if not the army) was done by A 1/320 Field Artillery. I was the Asst. Gunner of the base piece at the time, so I got to fire that first round. We used a 50 Ft. lanyard. I kept that first shell casing: This is long vbiew of it (complete with the ash tray that I used in room in the barracks:
This is the interior, showing the spent primer rod:
This is the bottom of the casing:
Not a big deal, but my little piece of history. Ted
All the way, sir!!!

| Hey, whatever happened to "No brass, no ammo, Sergant"? Great piece of history for us Redlegs. My son and I both have one of the new curly ones. Can't turn it into a prop blast mug.
Ein bier, bitte.
