Hey,
I used to post here a lot, got deployed then got busy after I got back.
Anyone in here from E co 629 MI? Maryland NG LRS?
I was there from 2002-2004.
Edit: Title should read 629MI not 628.

The word is that E. Co. is scheduled to be deactivated in either 2008 or 2010... Do you have any "poop" about that?
BA
I can make a call.
Man that sucks, but I can't say it's surprising. The 29th infantry division is slated to be shut down in favor of state BCTs, so I'm not sure what would happen to division level assets like that.
Have they talked about doing anything to Cali, or Georgia's? Georgia's is LRS-C isnt it?

E 629 Just left here (GTMO) a couple months ago where they served as external security, according to the company commander the Battalion had already cased their colors and the company would do so before they completely de-mobed at Ft. Dix so by now it sould be all done. There was acutally only a platoon from E 629 organic and they had been plused up with two other platoons from the MD NG.

"...my religious belief teaches me to feel as safe in battle as in bed. God has fixed the time for my death. I do not concern myself about that, but to be always ready, no matter when it may overtake me." He added, after a pause, looking me full in the face: "That is the way all men should live, and then all would be equally brave" General "Stonewall" Jackson

Yeah, I talked to a couple of guys that were pulled from line companies for that deployment.
Man, I can't imagine using those guys like that. What a waste.
