| I periodically review different sites and always am extremely motivated by some of the selfless acts performed by the men and women of our military. There has been one official awarding of the Medal of Honor for services in Iraq and another young man is soon to be honored(posthumously). I would like to lift up my silver wings to honor SFC Paul R. Smith, US Army and CPL Jason Dunham, USMC. If you Google them you can read their write-ups - amazing.

| Yes, they were very deserving of the award. We had a couple of topics on them here http://www.paratrooper.net/commo/Topic224888-4-1.aspx
- "Hundreds of thousands of American servicemen and women are deployed across the world in the war on terror. By bringing hope to the oppressed, and delivering justice to the violent, they are making America more secure. "

Jason Dunham's parents received his MOH at a ceremony last week.

Wapati, I agree, I always try to take the time to read MOH citations and am inspired by the courage shown underfire by the men and one woman (her story is a particularly good on in that she was never in the military) of many generations that have been the recipiants of the Medal

I do not concern myself about that, but to be always ready, no matter when it may overtake me."
