well it's been a looooooonnnnnnnnnnnng time since I've been on here. Just thought I'd give you guys an update on what's happening in my world. I was training to do the ironman on base. Start off rucking running (40 pounds in the ruck the whole time) 32k, grab your canoe carry it for 5k, then canoe for 8k, then finishing off with a 8k run. I had some problems about 20k in with my hip and slowly started to fade out of the top 50 (oh well it happens), and the last major hill I felt a pop in my hip and almost went down. I'm okay, it still bothers me from time to time. I managed to finish in a depressing 10 hours, eight minutes, 35 seconds (I aimed for eight hours, but hey at least I finished) I then was getting ready for a NATO exercise in Lithuania. I just got back from that last week. I was working with the Lithuanians, the Polish, and the Ukranians. I enjoyed my time out there. We basically showed them what the standards were on some stuff we've encountered out in Afghanistan. I learnt that I should NEVER drink with the Lithuanians again. Moonshine is bad for you. But I did manage to get a jump off with the Lithuanians. Those are some of the best chutes I've ever encountered, and the DZ was all sand to boot as well! And if any of you might want to file in the back of your head as a just incaser. I'll be heading down to most likely Florida in a couple of months and there's going to be attempts at getting us jumps with you guys for the rest of the guys to get their american wings (like me who got injuried last time *sigh*). So that's been my world the last few months. Once Florida is done, we start training to head over to the sandbox. How's everyone else been?!? Greg

Welcome back to Pnet! Hang around a little more often. Good job on finishing the race and I hope you don't have a lot of problems with your hip.
