I'm really saddened to hear this news. Thank you for making his last days good ones Resa. I know he has a special place in your heart as I'm sure he does for you.

Lest We Forget

Out of every 100 men, ten shouldn't even be there, Eighty are just targets, Nine are the real fighters, and we are lucky to have them, for they make the battle. Ah, but the one, one is a warrior, and he will bring the others back." - Hericletus, circa 500 BC

So sorry to hear about him.  He sounded like a wonderful man.  Keep those memories alive with your son and share stories about him so that he may live on.

"Hundreds of thousands of American servicemen and women are deployed across the world in the war on terror. By bringing hope to the oppressed, and delivering justice to the violent, they are making America more secure. "

I was wondering about him the other day--could have been the 8th--May Angels bear him on his final flight

Based on what you had previously posted you were able to help make his final days a little easier.  I am sorry for the loss but thank you for working with him.  RIP to a hero.

Only two defining forces have ever offered to die for you, Jesus Christ and the American GI.  One died for your soul, the other for your freedom.

May he rest in peace...
You should know that you likely brought him great joy, even if it was short lived in his memory at the time. I am sure though that the interest you showed in his life made a huge difference in his final months here. God Bless you!!
