I made sure I went to the Commissary first thing Saturday morning.  Our friends drove down from Cleveland for it.  You could tell it was a big event.

Wright Patterson Air Force Base Marathon

A West Virginia man has won the Air Force Marathon in Dayton. Thirty-nine-year-old Mark Cucuzzella finished in two hours, 31 minutes and 47 seconds.

A Columbus native was the second woman to finish. Thirty-year-old Starshine Blackford had a time of three hours, 19minutes and 41 seconds. She was about two minutes behind the first-place finisher in the women's division. About five-thousand runners registered for the race. It was the largest held since the event started in 1997.

"Hundreds of thousands of American servicemen and women are deployed across the world in the war on terror. By bringing hope to the oppressed, and delivering justice to the violent, they are making America more secure. "

Thirty-year-old Starshine Blackford....

WTF? "Starshine"? Didn't her mother like her or something?

Well, 2006 minus 33 years equal 1973 and that was a bit of a strange time

I do not concern myself about that, but to be always ready, no matter when it may overtake me." The mystery is solved, one of the female competitors hired someone to kidnap the AF Major so she couldn't run (and win again).

Beats shooting her in the knees, or having one of your boyfriends buddies do it for you.  Man if Tanya Harding had been this smart.
