| Fellow Warriors, I'll be up front - this is an unabashed pitch for a unique parachurch ministery, Christian Military Fellowship (CMF), of which I have been a member for 20+ years. I became a member originally to be part of a worlwide network of Christians in the military and later found out I could be a representative of CMF in a number of capacities. They also publish some really good inductive Bible studies designed to bring a believer from "new birth" to a position of being a discipling mentor to others. Their DTOs (Disciplship Training Objectives) are perhaps the one study I have done (as a learner and as teacher) that meant the most for personal growth. Here's the rub with that set of studies - there are NO fill in the blanks! I did them the first time stationed overseas with just me, my Bible, prayer, and sometimes a chaplain to provide a sounding board for what I felt the Holy Spirit was teaching me. What makes CMF unique is that it's not primarily about having official CMF trained representatives leading small group studies for folks in uniform, it's about folks in uniform minintering to folks in uniform with CMF support. We support chapels, chaplains and their soldiers who attend chapels or local churches. So much for the pitch! No matter if you are currently serving on active duty, a retiree or former military member, or just someone who has never served but has a heart for the military, it's something worthy of your consideration. Please visit the Web site at http://www.cmfhq.org/ and roam around for a while to see the available resources. Also feel free to expose others to CMF. You can also ask me anything about CMF and if I can't provide an immediate answer, I will get one. Thanks for listening!
