My name is Randy Baham and I am looking for members of the 3/325 B Co. who were in Italy from about 1986 through about 1994. there is a small group of us that have already linked up and had a few reunions. Our next reunion is at lake Havasu, Az. on Aug10-14. We have a small web site that we use to verbaly thrash each other and coordinate meetings and such.

Please feel free to pm me or post if you are one of those I seek.

And remember those immortal words of 1Sgt. Turner "Aim low men! They're comming in on snakes!"

One, two, three and a quarter!

I gotta date with the BC's daughter!

Two things, first don't post multiple topics on the same subject.  You'll find that the Troopers here use the recent posts button to see new posts.  Post your subject in one area and it will be read by those here.

Second, why not hold your get togethers as part of the 82nd Convention?  You get to be with those you served with and more than a thousand other Paratroopers who served from 1941 or 1942 through the present day troopers.  Just a thought.

One of the first sergeants from around the 1986 time period is VP of the 509th Association and I will see him in two weeks at our Reunion.  Welcome to the site.

We were a bit of a tight group and are not looking to hook up with the entire 82nd. We are only looking for some old buddies for informal beer drinking. It is a small group as you can surmise by me looking for those from just Bravo company. I would not serve our puposes to link up with a bunch of troopers whom we do not know. As I said we are only looking for a very small group of people. I myself have been to the convention, but that is more oriented to the Division as a whole.

All in all, we are just trying to locate some old friends.

I'm not trying to piss you off or anything, but I don't understand this.  Yeah, I like getting together with the guys I served with as well.  But I also enjoy going to Airborne events and socializing with Paratroopers from all time periods and units.  I never spent a day in Division but I am an officer in my 82nd Association chapter and have been to the last four reunions in a row.  I'm not saying don't hang out with the other guys you knew, just do it as part of a larger gathering.  I just don't understand.

I'm guessing that might be 1SG (later CSM?) Aldridge? He was 1SG of Combat Support Company when I was in the scout platoon. Or maybe 1SG Lowery? He was also a former '09er who was my 1SG when I was in Charlie Company.

There are quite a few sub groups that get together AT the Convention since the planning for the event then is minimized for the group. I know the cohorts like to get together like this but I think they space it out to every 4 years or something.

Its something you should consider since it strenghtens the organization and gives you a greater potential of running into more of your buddies.

Longrifle, your first guess is correct.  And he did retire as a CSM.

You're not pissing me off but I can't understand why you don't understand. I am not responsible for where or what the others do as far as getting together. I agree with you that it is fun socializing with others from different time periods. Many of us have done just that. There is one thing that might help you understand. In Italy as some of you are probably already aware, we were seperated from the 82nd. It was not in history but rather by location. We did not even wear a 82nd patch. we wore a SETAF patch. Even the battery atached to us(D bat. 319th) who had their own crest wore our unit crest(that of the 325th). This was because they were organic to the Airborne Battalion Combat Team. I think this always caused us to feel a little different eventhough we were not. You also have to remember that we are looking for those of a certain time frame. We all deployed to Iraq together and choose to have our individual reunions together.

Personnaly I do not want to depend on where the 82nd Association has its convention. It is much easier for our small group to coordinate amongst ourselves. We go on fishing trips where we have a member with facilities. We go gambling where we have members to help with room and board. When we are bigger, if that happens then it may serve our purposes to use the convention as a gathering point.

Some of our group are just not that hyped up about having been in the military. They are however excited about seeing the other members. All in all you raise a good question. I hope I have explained it to you without sounding too gruff or insulted.
