| New Member Identification/Introduction Directive Paratrooper.net is a resource for paratroopers, family members and those with interest or thinking about the joining the airborne. Our community is a close one and as such we appreciate having a clear idea of who is around us at all times. New members to this site are hereby instructed to take the following action after activation of your account: - Fill out your profile by going to the Control Panel and entering in pertinant data about yourself. If you are a military member, please tell us your basic details like mos, units youve served with, dates of service etc). For civilians please enter in your basic information and how you are connected to the airborne community. Users with OPSEC issues (active military) are exempt from a FULL profile if it would interfere with the operational security of thier unit. Posting your MOS and UNIT will in most cases NOT be a problem so long as you're not reporting location of deployed forces or details.
- Introduce yourself by visiting the replacement detatchment and post an introduction within the New Personnel Reporting forum, a typical title is "[YourUsername] Reporting In" and it should just act as your hello to the group. This makes us aware of you and give members a chance to meet the new people.
Compliance In the event that you post without filling in your profile and introducing yourself, a moderator or board admin may remind you to do so. If you are not familiar with how to do this they will be happy to assist you since this is a courtesy to both you and the other members of this site. If you cannot post sufficient profile information, please contact or respond to moderator personel and attempt to explain your exemption. If approved you will be able to continue without an introduction or a moderator will post that your information has been reviewed and you are good to go. Failure to respect this courtesy will result in steps being taken to get you back on the path. The first course of action is for moderator personnel to contact you via PM/Email but if this fails and your account is seen to have logged in after the reminder yet you fail to respond, your user account may be subject to a lock, ban or deletion. Reasoning You're here as a guest of the community, it would be rude for you to visit your local VFW, American Legion etc and simply sit down and start inserting your comments. As in that setting we respectfully ask for people to simply identify themselves, in the event you cannot you will simply be asked to leave. We have far too many veteran phony's and anti-patriot types out there to allow open access to details they might use to perpetrate fraud on other sites or with individuals. We police our own and ask for your respect on this issue.
