I tried to get her to email me, but somehow, their conversations were always so short.  I finally busted her out and told her she needs to get a clue.  I posted her emails here under the wannabee area, but I cannot find them now.  They must have gotten lost when we transferred to the new format.  BTW, she kept using my words for my husbands missions to create her boyfriends missions.  claimed he was in the same base as my husband, but could never tell me his name to verify because that is classified.

Nah, this was through the "supposedly" online support group, bluestarfamilies at yahoo.  I had two other ladies email her separately to get more of the story and every story was different.  Due to OPSEC, nobody in the group was suppose to divulge everything so at first things were okay until she went overboard.  Thing is, I still think she was clueless (45 yo clueless chick) and he was bragging to her.

I caught her in so many lies, one being he was on his way home, but the next day she emailed the group saying that he would not be able to come home.  I simply asked her, how can one be on the ship in the middle of an ocean on his way home and then all of a sudden turn the ship around and return to Afghanistan?  No response from her.  I never called her out to the group, this was done in private.  I left the group because I was to be supportive with her.  I told them that this guy was an absolute phony and was spreading crap that demeaned the guys that were working their butts off over there.  I left the group for good as well as all other chick groups because of that crap.

Heh... ran into a married private from my platoon once in Nashville restraunt. Girfriend at the time and myself were seated at the table next to their's. After the customary greetings and small talk, his wife goes on to ask if I was one of the soldier who worked for her husband! With a sharp glance at the PV-2 (who was squirming like you wouldn't believe by that point) I responded negative ma'am... it's actually the other way around and left it at that. Letting the chickie your trying to romance see you go into red rage is not conductive to obtaining the panty obscurred objective at the end of the night so I kind of swallowed my first dozen responses and actions. The Monday however, the private in question found himself posted in front of the platoon and forced to admit what he had been spewing off to his wife and family. Apparently she was under the impression he was a senior fella in the organization and was involved in all sorts of secret squirrel stuff. Couple months later I was quite shocked to discover he was in the process of a divorce. Apparently the wives of other platoon members got a hold of her and squared her away on the situation. As I'm fond of saying, you make your own bed in this world...

I agree with Jmpmastr. After their Noreiga "Airfield Seizure" stunt in Panama and after that "Combat Missions" TV show........WOW.

The police SWAT teams' IMT, tactical planning, teamwork, and markmanship were better.

BTW, who rescued that SEAL patrol on that mountain top in Afghanistan during Anaconda?

But hey, no one can top them for writing books about themselves.

No doubt that SEALs are over exposed and broadcasted. I want to see "60 Minutes: Special Forces" special. :-D

On a seperate note...

Yeah... I'd hit it.

What difference does that make? Surrender isn't a word in the Paratrooper dictionary.
