I have seen the different services do some strange and silly shit over the years, including when the Marines actually field tested a green beret like their English cousins. This has got to be some of the funniest shit I have seen lately. It has long been a article of faith for me that the Navy is the most fucked up branch of service and group of people assembled. My beliefs are once again upheld...
What really matters is whats over the next hill, what the other guy can do, and is it gonna rain, snow, blow and in what combination...

The Navy justs wants their Men to look more attractive for those Marines! Something about confined spaces on ships, and everybody having to get along. Thought I read something about the Navy & Marines newer uniforns having new and improved "Rear Access panels" installed in their uniforms. What was that old joke about why the Navy & Marines have their names stenciled into the back of their uniforms? Something about so everybody knows who their fucking!

CR6 My bad, you're right. I was looking at the khaki uniform. This is Sho Nuff the poor man's EGA. This uniform looks A LOT like the Marine uniform. If you are talking about the PLA

Why would they really need it? It's like our airforce weenies in CadPat. It maybe because they could hide better at sea ? Rucker Why not? You know everyone must look  . I'd take the MarPat and no shine boots. But I always thought the navy never shines anything but brass, anyway.
