At first I thought the swiftboat vets timing was a little suspicious, but since then I have seen the Dick Cavett show where they were debating. I guess I see it like this now. The democrats have no room to talk about military service, not since Bill Clinton was their candidate. The swiftboat vets have the same freedoms as everyone else to voice their opinion. I am not even going to question Kerrys service or his medals. I will not try to find out if GWB was a partying young adult in the early 70's. What I do know is that between the two of them, only one seems to be ashamed of what he did in the service and ashamed of what he did after he got out of the service. Right now Kerry is trying to rewrite history. Personally if he had gotten out of the Navy and said the government was wrong about the war in Viet Nam, then more power to him, but he chose to lie about all veterans, war crimes and much more. He is now trying to lie about that. His medals, he threw medals, so what, they were his to do what he wanted. All he had to do was stand up and say it was his way of saying he disagreed with the war. I think it comes down to the basic fact that Kerry does not have the integrity to say "this is what I did, this is why and thats its." Its an integrity issue now. I know that health insurance, social security, taxes, these things have not changed a whole lot in the last 12 years and probably won't in the next 4, but I do know that GWB will say what he thinks and do what he believes is right for this country. I believe John Kerry will do what he thinnks is popular and what will get him re elected. Its a done deal for me. Kerry is not trustworthy.

"When he didn’t like what he was hearing, he even fired the Army Chief of Staff."
Another lie by John Kerry. Shinseki retired after serving his full four year term as Chief of Staff.

John Kerry called Bill Clinton Saturday night at the hospital. They said that Clinton talked to Kerry for 90 minutes giving him advice. Clinton reportedly told Kerry to stop talking about Vietnam. Not during the campaign. Just during the phone call. "Will you stop? I'm in the hospital." Jay Leno

I have been to Paris. I have talked with both delegations at the peace talks, that is to say the Democratic Republic of Vietnam and the Provisional Revolutionary Government and of all eight of Madam Binh's points it has been stated time and time again, and was stated by Senator Vance Hartke when he returned from Paris, and it has been stated by many other officials of this Government, if the United States were to set a date for withdrawal the prisoners of war would be returned.
What comissioned officer privately met with representatives of both North Vietnam and the Viet Cong during the Vietnam War?
