Delta6 posted: "Ouch. . .I bet that hurt." Not at all, it's lots of fun. One of my favorite rifles is a left handed Sako Hunter in .338 Win Mag. I replaced the original stock with a Bell & Carlson fiberglass unit with cushy recoil pad, and it's quite pleasant to shoot 250 grain bullets at approx. 2700 ft/sec. 74-75 grains of IMR7828 or Reloader22. Feels like a 12 guage 3 inch mag.

Well... I would'nt say that the 300 Win mag really hurt, however I only shot it a few times and I knew for the rest of the day where that stock was in my shoulder earlier.
