Umm, Its the dreaded RED X!!!

What you did is point to a file on your local drive. That won't work. You need to have the file hosted somewhere OR upload it to the board.

TO upload it to the board you have to click on the bottom link:

Then a box will appear below the post, allowing you to select the file:

Click on browse, find the file, select it, then hit ok. Finally hit the post Reply button and viola!

 <script language=JavaScript>var rSS0_ctl4rteSpellChecker = function(e) { rSS0(e, '_ctl4rteSpellChecker', document.getElementById('ctl4_rteEditor_RTB'), null, '/commo/', 'en-US', 'Default', '', 'aa4ad35a-b30b-351f-9ebe-2e2d46a2d433', 'true', null); };</script>

BadMuther,

I am telling ya that only someone sitting at YOUR computer can see that posted pic. You uploaded a local file so when the website trys to show your picture it is looking for the following file:

"C:\Documents and Settings\Jim\My Documents\My Pictures\misc\badmuther's pic.jpg"

Now I will bet LOTS of money that the location that I posted there was where you were storing that picture. I know this because I did a view source on paratrooper.net when I was looking at your "alleged" posted pic.

In order to "post" a picture it must be "hosted" somewhere. That means that it must sit on a webserver somewhere. If you want you can email it to me and I will host it. So instead of having a local path with a drive letter (which will never work), you need a website URL like this: http://www.harleymaniac.org/images/parapete.gif which is how I store my logo.

Now if you dont want to host it, you can add it as an attachment. That actually "uploads" the picture to Mark's webserver. So when you look at the attachment the file actually exists on paratrooper.net.

Airborne?
