Hi...

I am interested in age requirements for the Canadian ARMY...  US ARMY recruiters fucked me pretty good and now I am outside the window of eligibility in the US..... I checked out the the web-site and could not find info on MAX age limit... Just as long as I have the oppurtunity to deploy and serve is what is important.... I have played hockey with Canadians most my life, I get along pretty good for a Yankee

Regards, Chris

Sheridan could probably hook you up and give you the straight skinny. Trouble is, you could run into problems about your citizenship by enlisting in a foreign army. And it sounds as if the Canadian Army is wearing its own millstone of liberal politicians around its neck. That must have been some f*cking the Army National Guard recruiters gave ya. Good luck to you, Pal.

WTF?!?!?

If you have prior service, there is no age limit (beyond the max serving age) to join the USAF Reserves or ANG.

If you're serious about wanting to serve, me an e-mail with your dates of service and military qualifications.  I'll be glad to assist.

Chris,

Just to be certain, I contacted the local recruiting office and there is no age limit anymore. Recruiters don't even look at age unless you're over 50. In fact, mandatory retirement isn't until 60 years of age now. That's how desperate the Forces are for man-power. (Can you imagine a 60 year old man doin' this sh*t?)

The only hurdle you face is getting your Canadian citizenship. No citizenship, no enlistment. Now, the US doesn't usually enforce it, but you can lose your American citizenship by enlisting in a foreign army. I know of some Americans who went to the Legion and nuthin' happened, same with a guy who went to the Paras in the UK. But the possibility is still there.
