I'm trying to find anyone who knew my late husband, Frank William Collins. He was born in Dayton, Ohio, 10-16-33. He was 82nd and 101st Airborne. He joined in 1953-1968 according to the papers I have here of his duty in the U.S. Army. I filed the DIC claim after he died, he had his DD214 form in his wallet too, but since they can't seem to find or locate the original form in St. Louis, MO, they won't probably approve my claim then if I can't find anyone who might have known him in country. He was also an entertainer, grew up with Ringling and Barnum Bailey Circus, blew up balloons for a living and did other acts too. His name for that was "Windy the Clown". He went back to his profession after he got wounded over there coming out of a helicopter. I don't know much since he didn't tell me alot of his past there, he had too many flashbacks so I thought it best not to bring it up all the time, but sure wish I had!
