The above picture is of the Manila American Cemetery.  Manila P. I..  There are 17,206 graves there of brave Americans that gave their lives there to secure freedom for the people of the Phillipines.  There are also 36,282 listed as missing in action.  It really pisses me off when these countries turn their backs on the U. S.  Every man, woman, and child of the Phillipines should be made to visit this site once a year to remind them of the sacrifices American Mothers, Fathers, Brothers, and Sisters gave to secure their freedom.    Of the 405,399 Americans that lost their lives during World War II, there were 78,976 Missing in Action. Of the remainder the next of kin of 93,242 elected to have their loved ones buried overseas.

There is also a cemetary holding deceased US Service members in GTMO, Cuba. I don't believe any are WWII dead though. Cemetary is located in the off limits area of the Naval base, most troops that have been to GTMO, don't know about it. It is below a large hill where two (I believe) USMC artillery observers were awarded the CMH, not many know about that either.
