pbr549, The mod and his fellow chest beaters on mil.com are as sheep, the Mod has singley decided who shall be a cut above whom. If you disagree with one, they all jump on their pedestals and begin flailing their chests, saying they are special, for they only have but one mind between all, They cryout "Wolf" when none is afoot, but when Wolf does abound, and none cryout, all remain mute and shall be devoured one by each. Paracav

This is a Paratrooper website. We do not claim to be better than any other member of the U.S. Military. Every one in every Branch has an important job to do, and if not done well, everyone suffers. We do however take great pride in being considered a specially trained, elite fighting force. This not something we made up, but has been bestowed upon the name "Paratrooper" by others, (including our enemies) since D-Day in Normandy. If we are a cut above the average Soldier, it is our training, method of deployment, and what our Silver Wings represent, that make us so. Paratrooper is a name we all carry with Pride, Dignity, and Humility as well. We always remember and honor those Paratroopers that paved the way, the ones who paid the ulitimate sacrifice in all Wars, who made the name Paratrooper what it stands for today. If you become a Paratrooper, as you grow older you will find no matter where you are, or what you do. The name "Paratrooper" will bring instant recognition and respect from others.

Very well put, RJ.

SgtV,

Did you know a guy named MSG Robert Lucero?

He jumped into Panama and was in my old unit (Bco 2/508) way back in 1983-1986. I know he is still in and I know he made a combat jump with the 504 into Panama.

Do it Vman!  I am going to lurk over there in a couple days and see what you are doing. I would go back incognito, but as soon as they checked my IP, I would probably get the boot again.  "BAD BOYS, BAD BOYS, WHATCHA GONNA DO, WHATCHA GONNA DO, WHEN THE Vman COMES FOR YOU, BAD BOYS, BAD BOYS."

Military.com . . . not worth the effort to break a sweat.  Why engage in intellectual debates with unarmed posers.

Kick back and just enjoy the best digital DZ in the world.
