Man that is a stupid law... I carry 95% of the time when I am off duty (I really should make it 100%). Alot of guys I know carry NO id or badge with them when they are off duty, just because of the story you just posted...

Thank goodness Ohio passed the Concealed Weapon law. My hubby wants me to take the tests and get the permit for instances just like these. He is lucky - because he was active duty, he does not have to take the training classes or the safety classes.

Mazzi, I am a certified OPOTA instructor, and I will be teaching the CCW classes... Should be teaching my first class in June, and PNET members get a discount!

I hope they pass that national ccw for LEO's. I'm sick of calling State Trooper Posts to see if I can carry through their AO's. When I go to DC, I'm carrying on my way down there. I could care less. I won't carry INTO DC though. I'll stow my weapon in Va. at my kid sisters place where we will be most of the time anyway. When I enter DC, I'll just take that nice Benchmade that I'm trying to talk HH6 into letting me buy.
