Where can I get a copy of that poem? Sad, but very true.

"Democracy is two wolves and a lamb voting on what to have for lunch.

Liberty is a well-armed lamb contesting the vote." - Benjamin Franklin, 1759

"Only two defining forces have ever offered to die for you,
Jesus Christ and the American Soldier.

One died for your soul; the other for your freedom."

RIP Brothers.  I have always admired LE people.  After being discharged, I so much wanted to go into LE . . . but, even now I would't want to be a uniformed officer.  If I fantasized about it . . it would always be plainclothes detective or undercover.

But uniformed officers . . . they take the brunt of the criticism, can be put in harms way for something that starts out as a traffic citation and in the public and media's eye they are dammed if they do and dammed if they don't.  I salute those that stick it out!!

"I think men who have a pierced ear are better prepared for marriage. . . . . .
They've experienced pain and bought jewelry."
