Here is the next chapter of the on going saga. Kevin was told Saturday that he would be going to "hard start" as soon as the next basic cycle starts. Does anyone know what in the hell that is? I am assuming that he will be starting Basic but am not sure. Any information is greatly appreciated.

"The new PT test has some differant events. I'm not sure of all of them but I've been told things like a straight arm hang, 1.5 mile run, no situps and other things."

I'm assuming that 'PT test' stands for P*ssy Training test here, because that what this new one sounds like.  Straight Arm Hang? WTF????? Girls do straight arm hangs.  Men do pull ups.  WTF is going on here??

The new PRT is a pilot program, and not being conducted Army-wide.  The OCT 1998 APFT is still the standard for units and schools.

Excellent link w/ lots of background info about efforts to change the current APFT: http://www.ihpra.org/military.htm
